THE END FOR ME

PROMOTIONAL FILM

WATCH THE PROMO FILM I have become increasingly aware of how lonely people are and how hard it’s becoming for us to talk to one another. Producing the film The End For Me is allowing me to deepen my understanding of this crisis through the powerful performances of our actors as they bring life to the dramatic story of three close yet lonely people who face the tragic consequences of not being able to share their true feelings until it’s too late. Caroline Phipps Living With Inner Elegance www.carolinephipps.com Note: This is black and white at present, as the film will go through color correction as part of the final editing process.

The Director’s Take I once heard a saying that goes like this: “A woman doesn't make a sound when she leaves. Usually, she goes in silence. She made a noise before when she wanted to stay.” author unknown. I wonder if our protagonists in The End for Me don't communicate well or don't listen well. But I would extend the question a bit further: Does the sound one makes, wanting to be heard, be a sound another person would necessarily understand? The End for Me invites the audience to step into the shoes of another. Would we take the same measures our protagonists do when discovering that love is more than a relationship? Faced with a similar dilemma, what would we do? In the age, where isolation is becoming an epidemic, who can say what forms and norms would rule the ways of the heart? How can isolation, or the inability to communicate, prepare one for the joys of love or for the grief of a broken heart? One thing I believe, whoever has truly loved another can say is that the heart can not be controlled. The stomach hurts, the muscles hurt, the heart hurts, everything hurts…and the pain is thunder. ﷯If we start googling the words, 'When I see you...’, in any language, we will read the suggestions for what love does just being in the presence of the loved one. But who can mend a heart when the love is gone? Who could mend the heart of the one who left in silence? Or the one who didn't hear the sounds when the loved one wanted to stay? I hope you enjoy the film. Alex Lage Film Writer & Director alexlage.com “Because when I see you the voice is silent Because everything is distant And without you, there's nothing left” Floribella

Meet The Actors

﷯Pam Steebler Jacqueline Brazilian/Canadian artist Pam Steebler, is best known for her amazing vocal ability and innovative songwriting in the Indie Pop genre. Steebler was born in Canada, grew up in Brazil, and is now based in Brooklyn, so when you listen to Pam's music, and can't quite put a finger on what makes it different, be sure that it is a mixture of being exposed and living in a variety of different cultures. Listening to her voice, you'll find yourself going from holding back tears, to feeling pure ecstasy.
﷯Judith Feingold Lavinia Judith Feingold (SAG eligible, AEA) is a classically trained Meisner actor, based in New York. She trained at Shakespeare & Company under Dennis Krausnick and Tina Packer, at the Actors' Movement Studio under Loyd Williamson and Janice Orlandi, and at the John DeSotelle Studio, where she now serves as conservatory faculty. She is a core member of Nuance Theatre Company, debuting in David Auburn's Proof and garnering a nomination in the Innovative Theatre Awards. She received a New England regional Emmy for her work as Jacqueline Brulet in the 2021 feature Not On This Night, and is in pre-production for Macbeth, as Lady Macbeth. " To my mind, the soul of the piece rests in the idea that, in art as in love, silence is death; and that the only tragedy greater than voicelessness is to speak at the top of one's lungs, unheeded. Shakespeare's Lavinia is savaged and robbed of speech, with inhuman brutality. It is an action louder than words by which she makes herself understood: so too does the artist reply to life."
﷯Asen Doykin Leonard Asen Doykin is New York based jazz pianist, composer, educator and producer. For the past twenty five years He has been taking an active part on the New York music and academic scene. Asen has released three albums as a leader and has composed, arranged and produced numerous full length albums and music for film, television, radio and theater.
